EVERYONE IS WELCOME AT THE RCMP CURLING CLUB

Celebrating diversity and cultivating inclusion

The RCMP Curling Club is an open and inclusive community. While some leagues have traditionally been recognized as Mixed, Ladies, or Mens Leagues, each league is welcoming of any gender identity and any curling ability.

FIXED AND DRAWN TEAMS

Offering maximum flexibility, the Club accepts both fixed and drawn teams. A fixed team is one where two, three or four curlers decide, before the season starts, to curl together. Fixed teams are accepted in the Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday Evening Leagues, the Saturday and Sunday (Mixed) Leagues, the Wednesday Evening Ladies’ League and the Daytime Seniors Leagues. Simply indicate the Skip of your team on your application form. If you do not have a full team, the League Administrator will assist you in finding the remaining player(s) required. Those curlers who join the Club as individuals will be placed with three other curlers on a drawn team or partially filled fixed team.

Learn to Curl (LTC) Program

We offer a full season LTC program for adults looking to take up the exciting game of curling. With the aid of certified coaches our new athletes learn how to deliver a curling stone, sweep and understand strategy. Our fun, progressive program offers a safe learning atmosphere where individuals can confidently progress at their own speed. We cover etiquette, game procedures and the social aspect of curling with “special” sessions and fun nights. The program runs on Friday evenings at 7:00PM. Come out and give us a try.

FRIDAY U5 (Under 5 Years Experience) LEAGUE

In 2024, we are introducing a Friday U5 League for curlers with 5 years or less of curling experience. Curling members can register as a team or as individuals/ couples. The Friday U5 League plays Friday evenings alternating between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, beginning mid-October and runs through until the end of March. You won't play at Christmas or March break etc.
